So I wrote my congressman and urged him to help impeach Vice President Cheney and this is all I got back. If you live in Iowa's District 5, please use some of these numbers to call, write or email him to tell him what a wiener he is or to ask him to do something about this run away administration too.

Livestock Show

Here are some late night pictures from the Charter Oak Achievement Days swine show. Judging went till nearly 11:30 last night. So, not being a pig expert, my A.D.D kicked in so I tried taking some experimental "artsy" shots. See the winners in the July 19 edition of the Charter Oak-Ute NEWSpaper.

Charter Oak Achievement Days

Our town holds one of the few town-fairs left in Iowa. Most towns have let them go, so that the smallest you have are usually county fairs, but every July the 4-H and FFA pull out all the stops and show their projects and their animals. Here are a few "Art Shots" that I doubt our local newspaper will use:This is a bank shot off of the hubcap of a 51 Ford in the car and tractor show. If you look carefully, you can see a bunch of guys talking about a 61 Impala... me, taking this picture....and a toy rat that the owner of the Ford keeps on his hood. Creepy.

Americans are finally sick of them too

New Poll Shows Majority of Americans Support Impeachment; ImpeachPAC is Launched to Support Pro-Impeachment Candidates

By a margin of 53% to 42%, Americans want Congress to impeach President Bush if he lied about the war in Iraq, according to a new poll commissioned by AfterDowningStreet.org, a grassroots coalition that supports a Congressional investigation of President Bush's decision to invade Iraq in 2003.

The poll was conducted by Zogby International, the highly-regarded non-partisan polling company. The poll interviewed 1,200 U.S. adults from October 29 through November 2.
The poll found that 53% agreed with the statement:

"If President Bush did not tell the truth about his reasons for going to war with Iraq, Congress should consider holding him accountable through impeachment."
42% disagreed, and 5% said they didn't know or declined to answer. The poll has a +/- 2.9% margin of error.

Where's Duke?

So everybody wants Al Gore to run, Ralph Nader and Mike Bloomberg are hinting about running...
But where is the "compassionate facist" candidate, Ambassador Raul Duke?

Thompson just another cheater

According to an article in Wednesday's Boston Globe, GOP presidential hopeful, and one-time Republican Senator from Tennessee, Fred Thompson leaked information to the Nixon white house during the height of the Watergate investigation. In his capacity as the Senate Watergate Committee minority counsel, Thompson tipped off Nixon's attorney that the committee was aware of the president's secret tapping device, and would be making the information public.

How could we imagine that this guy would be any better or different than the likes of Cheney, Rumsfeld, or any of Bush's other leftovers from the Nixon days?
