escuela desde el primer grado, pero todavía no puedo hablarlo muy
bien, yo estoy apesadumbrado. Mi esposa y yo enseñamos en una escuela

with our government. If anything, we are sometimes embarrassed. Our founders
believed that dissent and even sedition were positive and productive tools for

Hola! I grew up in Arizona and took Spanish in school
since first grade, but I still can’t speak it very well, I’m sorry. My wife and
I taught in a Christian school in Los Angeles for many years where I grew to
appreciate and admire Hispanic cultures very much. Two of my all time favorite
students were Leon and Mar Enriquz. They worked for their Uncle’s company that
dubbed American movies into Spanish. Their parents were divorced and their
father was a painter in Mexico City. Leon is a talented guitarist who played in
the nightclubs in the city of Tequila, Mexico. I loved to talk about politics
with Mar, who went on to UCLA to become a lawyer. I coach cheerleading and in
Los Angeles I had cheerleaders from Cuba, Mexico, and Guatemala. I suppose I
sound like a typical white racist American trying to justify patronizing you by
telling you how not racist I am. All I really want to say is thank you for
