Sasha Lynn

Now that we're done with the skull, and before we go on to the whole skeleton and then figure drawing, I'm having my class work on portraiture. The idea being that knowing the skull structure will now inform and advise our drawing of faces. So here is my sketchbook page of Sasha. All pencil & graphite, no charcoal yet. This isn't the best photo for comparison because her hair is down (and different) and her hands are on her face and she's smiling more widely...but hopefully it gives you SOME idea of how accurate or inaccurate my drawing is. I realize I'm a long way from perfect- but hey, that's why I'm not a full time professional draw-er, I'm just a 7-12 Art teacher and part time aspiring cartoonist.
